Test and tag is the process of checking the safety of portable electronic appliances and equipment. All appliances that are plugged in to a power socket are required to be test and tagged. In QLD it is regulation to have all electrical equipment inspected, tested and tagged. The interval as to when this is done can vary between 3 months and 12 months, depending on equipment and its use. Generally most appliances require 6 monthly testing.
Our electricians will first visually check and then perform a test with our portable appliance tester to determine any faults with the appliance. We are able to repair most equipment on the spot to minimise downtime, including replacing damaged leads or faulty parts.
All tags have the date of testing and our license number printed on them. Tags can be colour coded if site requires this.
We will provide a test log, schedule and reminder to keep you up to date and be OH&S compliant.
